As far as London Fashion Week went, our mani cam spotted mostly neutral nails at the shows–overall, a less experimental than New York. Solid as it may be, the nail trend we did spot is extra glossy polish. Extra glossy, as in, as glossy as a gel mani–but not. Whether you choose a bright red or a pale neutral–it’s time to let it shine.
Over at Meadham Kirchhoff fall ’13, high gloss went to new extremes. Butter London’s coulour ambassador Katie Hughes was going for a “powerful and perfect vintage glamour look.” She used Butter’s ‘Come To Bed Red’ with the ‘P. D Quick Top Coat.’ If you’re trying the look at home, the most important thing to remember is a base coat and an extra glossy top coat.—RAY SIEGEL
