Style Showdown: Black & White & Suited All Over
When we saw this photo of Rita Ora–snapped before her performance at Calvin Klein’s refurbished London flagship–our first thought was, Grace Kelly hair! (So glamorous, right?)
But our second thought was, We’ve seen this look before. Followers of our daily Best Dressed picks may remember that Gwen Stefani wore the exact same black-and-white suit from Calvin Klein Collection back in October.
Now this isn’t the first time that we’ve noticed a resemblance between the two singers (we made a Gwen + Rihanna = Rita equation recently), but what makes this style overlap interesting is just how differently they style it. Both pair it with a cropped top and a red lip, but from there they diverge: Ora keeps her jacket open, Stefani keeps hers closed; the Brit goes with a sandal, the SoCal girl goes with classic black pumps; one accessorizes with a statement necklace, the other a stack of bracelets.

Gwen. The jacket looks better closed, and the let-down hair brings a sense of effortless-ness, she doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard.

For me it is 100% Rita!! I must be crazy because I don’t even see how it’s a contest! Gwen’s look is nice but kind of normal… Rita’s is a modern greaser goddess! Inspirational.
