Best Dressed: Natasha Khan
Watching the red carpet arrivals at last night’s BRIT Awards, we couldn’t help but feel a bit like we were watching Groundhog Day. There’s Taylor Swift in a revealing black dress! There’s Jessie J in a revealing black dress! There’s Jessie Ware in a revealing black dress! There’s Lana Del Rey in a not-quite-revealing black dress!
Even though they all looked great, it got a bit boring. And then Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan sashayed in, and our eyes lit up. Decked out in a floaty boho gown, the British musician looked the best we’ve seen her in a really long time–with no face paint in sight.
What we love about this look–other than the fact that the only black there is a waist-cinching belt–is how easily it translates to lives not lived on red carpets. Pull together a gauzy pleated skirt, a pair of metallic sandals, and a rhinestone collar and you’ve got the perfect Coachella ensemble. Throw on a pair of heels and you can wear it to your best friend’s wedding. Can’t wait to wear it right now? Pull on your chunkiest knit sweater and you’ve got your go-to winter weekend outfit. And then twirl around as you listen to “All Your Gold.”
