Best Dressed: Solange Knowles
We hear it all the time: “I just don’t look good in yellow.”
Guess what? You probably do–you just don’t know what shade of yellow to wear. If you want proof, look no further than Solange Knowles. Earlier this week we were applauding Bey’s baby sis for wearing a marigold dress to the Academy Awards’ after-party, and as if to prove a point she donned the shade once more, this time in New York City on her way to The Late Show with David Letterman‘s studios. There’s no mellowing it out by pairing it with a neutral or using it as an accent color–instead, she just goes for it, and the end result makes us love the musician even more.
So what does it take to brighten up like Knowles? First, find your yellow (yes, even yellow mesh tops are cool by us, just as long as you don’t pull a Hannah Horvath and wear nothing underneath)–and once you figure it out, embrace it and add it to every part of your wardrobe you can.

She’s just. SO. COOL. She rocks bold colors and prints like she was born to do it. Don’t shoot me–but I think I may prefer her style to Queen Bey’s.
