We throw around the term It Girl a lot at NYLON–in fact, we’ve got an entire issue devoted to them.
Some girls, like Alexa Chung, have been on our list forever. Others, like Cara Delevingne, seem to come out of nowhere.
We’re working on a top secret project (don’t worry, you’ll know about it real soon), and wanted to hear from you: Who do you consider to be 2013′s It Girls? Are you obsessed with Elle Fanning? Dying over Jessica Hart? Wish you were besties with Rita Ora? From actresses to artists, designers to DJs, we want to hear about them all.

I LOVE RITA ORA. I’m also quite obsessed with Cara Delevigne. I saw her on the street during NYFW and had a very fangirl moment, and nearly started hyperventilating. As a 26 year old, this can be quite embarrassing. I appreciate her not so cookie cutter style because I believe that normal is boring. WERQ EYEBROWS.

My ultimate it girl would be Jojo Bitter. She’s not very well known but wow does she have amazing style. She is the fiance of Levi Benton who is the lead singer of a band called Miss May I. I think she is amazing from the way she dresses to her personality and her morals. Any girl that can rock that tough edgy look mixed with a bit of feminism is an It-Girl in my book.

I’ve always looked to Charlotte Gainsbourg and Françoise Hardy as It Girls but my most recent It Girl of the moment would be Elle Fanning. I’m absolutely head over heels for her. I also predict a massive Karen O resurgence once the YYY’s new LP drops. It’s going to be brilliant! And Lucy Liu will always be one of my favourite women so I suppose that makes her an It Girl as well.

Dree Hemingway I predict will come up as the unsung it girl in the next few years
With her new Indie Film award for her now recognized acting skills, and artistically royal blood lines, Dree’s life is as interesting as her style. Every outfit from day to evening looks so effortlessly adorned on her. Almost like the clothes are happy to be there. I would love to see more of Dree Hemingway, in every way.

I am becoming a bit obsessed with Ellie Goulding/ Gwen Stefani’s street style both know how to rock a sweater with out looking frumpy and that takes effort bro! They are flawlessly edgy and will forever be my fashion inspirations for those days when you just want look bad ass but not have to wear six inch platforms to do so (I leave Taylor Swift for the days when I want to go as innocent as a doe eyed Natalie Wood dancing along side Tony)

I’m crushin’ on 2 girls right now! Cara Delevingne, because well – that girl has got spunk! She’s so unbelievably quirky and unique and I love that she can be herself when she’s surrounded by gorgeous models all the time, also have you seen the girls eyebrows?! I’ve always crushed on Camilla Belle. Her eyebrows are oh so amazing, and made me embrace my own eyebrows. Also, have you seen her style? She’s chic and extremely feminine, she makes me remember that being a girl is such a beautiful thing!
