New Video: Beyoncé Gets Gucci
Before you jump to any conclusions, we’re not talking about a Gucci modeling contract. It is a Gucci campaign of sorts, however: Beyoncé just joined forces (and these women really are forces) with Gucci designer Frida Giannini and Salma Hayek to become the faces of the next major women’s movement called ‘Chime for Change.’ The goal is to unite women all over the world and give them a voice, but also to seek equal rights for women in these three main categories: health, education, and justice. According to the movements press release Bey is all in. “I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be. It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honored to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.”
The other good news surrounding this initiative is that we can expect to see ten short films narrated by Salma Hayek and wait for it…new music by Beyoncé.
