NEW YORK
What: In celebration of the launch of their latest “Denim Days” campaign, this Saturday, Swedish uber-retailer H&M is playing host to a mini fête at their Fifth Avenue flagship.
Why: Score 25% off denim purchases, plus enjoy denim DIYs and customization, sweet treats, and plenty of tunes. The Carrie Diaries’ AnnaSophia Robb will also be on hand to dispense style advice, so get ready to meet her in the flesh!
BOSTON
What: Vintage fave Artifaktori’s Davis Square location is closing for good this Sunday

NASHVILLE
What: The Big Lebowski at midnight tonight and tomorrow at The Belcourt
Why: This Coen Brothers classic witty comedy combines the best in dark humor, bowling, and John Goodman. What more could you ask for?
MIAMI
What: One Night Stands at Locust Projects
Why: Tonight, Locust Projects is fêting their 15 years in the biz with a pop-up event series, One Night Stands. The experimental event space is kicking it off with a block party, and in addition to teaming up with local neighborhood venues Bardot and Ricochet, there will be a site-specific installation by Karl Haendel, a video sculpture by Miami native Carlos Rigau, and plenty of tunes, cocktails, and eats by Gastropod.
CHICAGO
What: UChicago hosts a screening of Michelangelo Antonioni’s Blow-Up tonight at 7
Why: If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you have to. It’s the ultimate iconic 1960s Swinging London fashion time capsule, and with Vanessa Redgrave, uber-supermodel Veruschka, and Jane Birkin starring, the fashion plays as much of a role as the plot in keeping you hooked. Get ready for a taut paranoiac thriller with style to spare.
AUSTIN
What: American Icon’s Shopping & Music ‘Fest
Why: American Icon is making this month’s Yard Sale a two-day shopping and music fest of epic proportions. Thirty rad vendors (Brookes General, Splendor Vintage) will be paired with 16 local bands (The Flesh Lights, The Bad Lovers),all under one roof at the Hotel Vegas and Volstead Lounge. This is definitely the best thing happening this weekend, so be there or be square.
LAS VEGAS
What: First Friday
Why: Vegas is a place all its own, and besides the attractions on the Strip, there’s a pretty darn unique local flavor. Tonight, come support local culture with the Arts District’s First Friday, a celebration of Vegas’ local art, food, and culture. Check out the wares from both up-and-coming and established artists, plus live music, performances, and plenty of awesome food trucks. There’s also an after party at Artifice if you want to keep the celebrations goin’!
SAN FRANCISCO
What: SF Unplugged
Why: Remember a simpler time, before our addiction to Instagram and the Twitterverse, like, say, the 90’s? Tonight, get down with a throwback to analog as Digital Detox and Reboot host an off-the-grid party at Inner Mission SF to celebrate the National Day of Unplugging. Check your phone at the door and treat yourself to massages, tea, a DIY craft station, a board game and typewriter zone, and free drinks! Unplug and recharge.
LOS ANGELES
What: Etsy Pop-Up Shop
Why: Etsy is taking things off of the interwebs and into IRL with a cross-country pop-up shop, and they’re kicking off things right here in LA. Tomorrow, be sure to stop by West Elm for an array of jewelry, home decor, stationery, and more from local Etsy designers and artists, all curated by HGTV’s Emily Henderson, plus delish mini desserts from Heirloom L.A..
ORANGE COUNTY
What: The Groves Antique Market in Irvine
Why: Dig for buried treasure at this local flea—you’re bound to find a trove of vintage gems on the cheap! Also, a bunch of OC food trucks set up shop next to the action, so in between cruising the goods, nosh on some gourmet street eats.
