There were a lot of great music releases in 2012, but my favorite was Beach House’s Bloom. Every single song was a stunner, all pop gems that sparkled but also kind of hit you in your gut with their innate sadness.

Nearly a year later, and I still listen to the album all the time. But in case you needed a reason to, how about this: The Baltimore duo just released the music vide for “Wishes,” and we can’t look away. It’s eerie and beautiful at the same time, and whether you’re trying to piece together the story or are just enjoying watching the performers on the field, I think you’ll like it as much as I do.

That moment when Victoria Legrand (via the on-field singer, played by Ray Wise–yes, that’s Leland Palmer!) roars, “Once in your life / It happens once, and rarely twice”? Stunning.
