OMFG! We can’t think of a better surprise to kick off the day than finding out a teaser’s just been released for Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring.
For those of you living under a rock, the film stars Emma Watson, and centers on the real-life scandal that took place in 2009, in which a group of teenage girls robbed a handful of celebrity homes.
Just under a minute, the teaser shows Watson ditching magic spells for mugging with a group of tween cohorts–from the closet’s of heiresses’ to the club.
Though the film doesn’t hit theaters till the summer, we know you won’t mind watching reruns of E!’s Pretty Wild in the interim. -ALI HOFFMAN

I’m a huge fan of Sofia Coppola but frankly her last movie (Somewhere) didn’t seem that good to me, however I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE BLING RING i hope it is as good as the trailer. its good to see her trying new stories, i never thought i was going to see Emma Watson dancing like that and acting like a Hollywood girl.
PS if someone knows the name of the song on the trailer please let me know

Just because Emma Watson is in it I will watch this lol other then that Ive seen the lifetime movie lol and im pretty sure what happens and Ive seen pretty wild on E! and i will definitely not see that again lol

I love films by any of the Coppola family, they’re intense! My favorite movie is The Godfather. Excited to see what Sofia is bringing.

Can’t wait for this movie to come out. Finally looks like there will be a Sofia Coppola movie that I’m into – while I respect her filmmaking ability, I think she’s take on kind of dry, boring scripts, and I’m interested to see how she does with what (to me) is a much more exciting type of film.
Also, loved that they used “Crown On The Ground” by Sleigh Bells in the trailer, that’s exactly the type of song that wouldn’t be in one of the slower dramas that Coppola has done in the past, and I think will fit the mood of this film. Also, can’t wait to see Emma Watson in this type of role, too I think she’s up to it, and it’d be nice to see her push her boundaries too.

Sophia Coppola is my all-time favourite director and of course I love Emma Watson. I have been looking forward to the film since it was in pre-production. But just so people are aware. She is not actually the star of the film. She plays a character and although the teaser trailer showed a lot of her she tweeted “I don’t really ‘star’ in the Bling Ring. I am probably 3rd/4th of the lead characters. (In case media/marketing is a bit misleading.)” So I hope no one goes expecting an Emma packed movie just to be disappointed. Although Sophia Coppola films are always amazing so see it even if you don’t get a lot of Emma.
