Best Dressed: Solange Knowles in Marni
Our girl crush on Solange has gotten pretty out of control the past few months, and this outfit she wore to a SXSW party yesterday certainly isn’t helping.
Sure, wearing head-to-toe Marni will have you scoring highly in our Best Dressed books, but it’s not just that: it’s the fact that she is taking one print and wearing it in three entirely different colorways. Consider it the un-clashing pattern–a much easier way to cut loose without looking like you’ve maybe got a screw loose. (Side note: We always have and always will love clashing patterns.)
You can get the entire Marni look right here–but if you’re not ready to commit upwards of $2,000 on an outfit, we recommend picking a specific type of print, be it stripes, florals, polka dots, or whatever else you’re into at the moment, and then finding it in a range of colors. The weirder they sound together (brown with navy with turquoise, in Solange’s case) the better they’ll probably end up looking.
