There was a time when leopard print was a bold statement–but to be honest, we don’t really remember it. In the past few years, animal print has become like stripes, polka-dots, or florals; basically, another pattern that is practically a neutral in our wardrobes. (Admittedly, the NYLON closet is a very graphic place).
So while it may have technically been a bold choice for Eva Mendes to wear this knee-length Dolce & Gabbana dress to the Late Show with David Letterman, we think it’s actually a pretty laid-back ’70s boho combination. And best of all, we’ve found a super affordable alternative that still has a bit of Dolce in there. We couldn’t, however, figure out a way to get you Ryan Gosling. SORRY.
