Tomorrow (October 20th) marks National Suspenders Day!

Though initially invented for men to wear with trousers cut too high to wear with a belt, we’ve seen countless examples–from the Rag & Bone runway to Annie Hall– of women sporting the two-strap look.

So to celebrate this remarkable holiday, we’re clipping on a trusty pair, putting on our best bowler’s hat, and mixing up an equally chic drink, a Pink Victrola.

We’ve provided our recipe below, and highly recommend you join in on the festivities….

The leaves are just beginning to change colors. Our leather jacket has recently come out of hiding.
And while most of friends sip their cold drinks, we crave sitting by a blazing fireplace, reading a favorite novel (The Great Gatsby, perhaps?) and grasping a nice warm drink.

Being longtime fans of the Hot Toddy, we thought we’d try a Hendrick’s Gin Toddy.

There’s nothing worse than showing up at a party wearing the exact same dress as someone else. But we’ve come to accept that when we show up at a house party carrying a six-pack or a bottle of whiskey, we’ll probably find that brand already on the drink table.

For the past few weeks, the mercury’s been firmly lodged in the nineties, and it’s taking a serious amount of air conditioning (and will power) to keep us from stripping down to a bikini and hopping in the nearest body of water.

Fortunately, Perrier has just launched these sleek new cans full of bubbly deliciousness (think of it as fizzy water moonlighting as a can of soda) to keep us cool.

Team NYLON was lucky enough to take them for a test gulp, and loved them!

In flavors including lime and pink grapefruit, they have curbed both our mid-afternoon coffee and soda cravings, and provided the perfect amount of fizz and refreshment—handy little thirst quenchers, great for summer scorchers like, well, today.

And while that’s all very straightforward, this Perrier video, shot by Johan Renck, is most certainly not.

What does it mean?  Let us know – we’re almost as dizzy as we were after watching the Jack + Diane trailer.
