Apps are getting so addicting that sometimes it’s hard to part with our phones even just to hop in the shower.

If you’re equally enthusiastic about your iPhone, this shower curtain from UO might be for you. It’s covered in bathroom activity “apps” like “Blow Dry,” “Shave” and “Dental Care,” which we wouldn’t surprised to find real apps for in the future.

So while mixing H2O with your actual technology is still a really bad idea, if you loved the Social Shower Curtain this makes a perfect addition to your decor.

long live the fresh prince!

We were grinning ear to ear when we saw this video of Will rapping the Fresh Prince theme song (over 20 years later!) but one question remains: does he still know the lyrics to extended rap version? Do YOU?

food for float

Monday, May 21st, 2012

phpThumb_generated_thumbnailjpgWhile wishing for a glimpse of sun through today’s dark sky, we stumbled upon pool floats that satisfy junk food and sunshine cravings, simultaneously.

The floats, shaped like a hot pretzel and a donut, are a quirky addition for any pool party or lounging around with a good book. You can also pretend you’re Lindsey and Frida posing for this season’s Mulberry campaign which is how we’ll approach it, and rightfully so.

The sweet and savory treats are available on Fred Flare and Urban Outfitters, respectively, and will make waiting that hour to swim after you eat so much easier.

Now, if only we had the rest of the Mulberry collection to make our summer plans come full circle…

buggin
Most bugs would have us calling (fine, crying) for someone else to “step on it!!!” but these new bug boards from Element are something we could totally stomp on.

The Canadian maple boards are small enough to fit in a backpack, come in a range of shapes, cool spotted neons and will have you rollin’ with the homies all summer for $110.

So go ahead, step on it!

kaleidoscope eyes

Fact: We spend a really long time hunting for decorations that will make our apartment look cool.

Now we’re getting some help, thanks to Brooklyn-based artist Shanan Companro who designs her very own textile line, Eskayel. The designer has been creating eco-friendly textiles and art since 2008, using little more than Muji gel ink pens.

The result is digitally printed wallpaper, pillows, rugs and stationery that make us feel like we’re peeking through a kaleidoscope. Which is way more awesome than anything we’ve ever doodled with our own gel pens!

The wallpaper and murals might set you back a pretty penny, but the handmade pillows would make a rad gift for a friend or yourself.

Check out Eskayel’s new Poolside Collection here, and let us know what fabric is your favorite!

Behold: The Juice Box Camera

Friday, May 11th, 2012

boxIf you’ve ever checked out the photography selection on the Urban Outfitters site, you know there’s a lot of different ways to make your pictures look cool. The Fisheye gives your image a distorted effect and the Chrome film develops in ultra saturated, intense hues.

Now they’ve got a camera that looks just as awesome as the photos it yields. It’s shaped exactly like a juice box, and there’s even a straw (which is what you press to snap a shot).

It comes with a roll of 35mm film and has a lo-fi quality that produces faded vignettes, so everyone and everything you capture will look really pretty.

If you like the idea but you’re not a fan of OJ, you could always go with the chocolate milk option. Just make sure you don’t get confused between the camera and your actual drink.
