The boys of Rumspringa just finished up their residency at The Echo in LA for the summer, but they have a new video that you can check out if you missed their hot run on the west coast.

Last week in Los Angeles, Darren Weiss performed at the Unknown Theater.

It was a very intimate and impressive show. Friend and incredible musician Sean O’Brien (The Naturals) rocked on guitar as well as Darren’s brother Evan (Slang Chickens).

Slang Chickens will be performing on July 15th at the Unknown Theater, so if you missed out on Darren’s show, check him and Evan out.

They will bring the hot sauce, trust me.

Yooo guyz.

So our two days off were not much of days off cuz I stayed back with the Be Your Own Pet kids in Minneapolis.

Marvin and Bridget came out to shoot their music video for their song “Becky” and it was amazinggggg. The super talented Chris Brown flew from New York with Flo from the NYLON office to style it, and all the BYOPetters were lookin’ hot. Becky was played by Jemina and I played her “Mean Girl-esque” best friend. Me and Jemina tried to change the concept of the video to us being lovers, but the idea turned into a joke throughout the shoot. In the video we were being hunted by the band members of Be Your Own Pet (Jemina included… she starred as Becky and herself) in a a50’s style movie theater. Yooo guyz. The Virgins’ music video to their song “Private Affair” dropped exclusively on rollingstone.com. From the content to the colors, the video is ridiculously amazing. You have to watch it for yourself, and see how this video stands out amongst any other music video you are playing on youtube right now. Maybe it has something to do with Jonas buying a beer bong that has unintentionally become a pre show ritual for some…

Or the fact that some frat dude threw a bottle and broke one of the Switches windows on their bus.

Either way Columbus was crazy…

Yoo guyz. Detroit was a very interesting day on the NYLON summer tour. First of all, when we stepped off the bus it felt like we were in a sauna. I think this caused for everyone’s spell of craziness. (Stay tuned for a NYLON tv episode showing you what I mean by crazy.)

The show was at the venue Saint Andrew’s and it had the raddest biggest dressing room I have ever seen. It was so big, there could have been a show in it. Adam claimed that there was the best wings spot in all America across the street, and everyone went over for at least 2 out of the 3 meals of the day. After the show the mayhem started…. Oh and Adam took this classic band photo of us.

We like to call ourselves Menudo.

Yoooo guyz. So we just crossed back into the states, after being in Canada for a few days. It was rad, felt a little bit like Lost in Translation in the hotel room, and crossing the border was a funny experience. A cop came on the bus and shined a flashlight into our bunks to match our face with our passports while we were sleeping. The Canadians were really down with the tour, some kids even threw a loft party for the Virgins in Toronto. Adam from She Wants Revenge djed a night in Toronto, and in Montreal we all went to a bar since the drinking age is 18. We ate some Poo Teen which is a Canadian classic. It is fries with gravy and cheese curds in it… sounded disgusting to me, but after trying it, I figured out what all the hype was about. Plus its the best food to eat while you are raging.
