I can’t explain why I watch America’s Next Top Model, especially because none of the winners ever actually become the next Lily Donaldson.

But there I was last night, camped out in front of YouTube, watching Cycle Twelve of Tyra’s pretty circus.

The girls had a photo shoot where they had to be school girls. And despite Tyra’s decree that children shouldn’t grow up too fast, the contestants were all dressed like Blair Waldorf.

Blazers, headbands, thigh-highs, the whole deal.

So while they may not have looked cute and innocent, they did look pretty great – but that’s hardly surprising, considering the Top Model stylists are Anda and Masha, who’ve styled NYLON covers for years!

One of the interesting things about Gossip Girl paparazzi shots is that you can buy the characters’ outfits months before they’ll wear them on TV.

Today, Leighton Meister was shot lugging a giant Robert Clergerie tote and matching shoes in between scenes.

It’s funny because presumably, the new episodes will take place during the Spring, so what’s Blair doing in a winter coat?

Also, have you ever noticed how matchy-matchy she is?

It never occurred to me until I saw her shoes and handbag by the same designer.

Is this the return of totally matching accessories?  Or will Serena and Jenny counteract the Queen B with Converse and Chanel bags?
