The clothes were gauzy and mostly great, especially when he folded his fabric, origami-style, so the sheen of the thread caught the light a little more.

The party was thrown by People’s Revolution, the PR house that you’ve probably seen on MTV.

Alas, there was no Whitney Port at this particular shindig, but that’s okay - the dresses, and the very cool crowd, more than made up for it. We love anything with a little glitter, you know?
See some of the clothes by clicking below. xoxo faran.

Tonight there is a special occasion going on in the NYC. The first ever Downtown New York yearbook, “The Young and the Banging” is being released at the Nike gallery at 255 Elizabeth St. (btw Houston and Prince) in Nolita! The Yearbook was created by Heron Preston, and 15 girls (including me and some buddies) showcasing some of the up and coming creative minds in New York. As the yearbook is sensibly high school themed, the Nike gallery has been transformed in the same vain. We were there last night painting the walls like hyper active kids, building model volcanos, stuffing lockers, and vandalizing the bathrooms… so tonight should be just like the days of loitering in the hallways on the last day of school getting all the yearbook signatures you could get, or in some cases, the days of running away from stuff like that. Check out the book release party in Nolita, and then head to the after party at STAN’s on 255 West and Jane. The gallery will be open until September 28th, with different kids from the yearbook hosting little events here and there. So swing by on a later date if you have mad fashion week stuff to go to tomorrow. Peace~ Spacey Tracy xx

Secret Two: These Stubbs and Wootton slippers may not be available until Christmas, but I’m so into them, I might just write SN and OB on top of my Chuck Taylors in anticipation of this tongue-in-chic gag.

Secret Three: Snob is a word of French origin that arrived in the 1700s just before the French Revolution, when noblemen were exempt from paying taxes. When the tax collector would go from parish to parish (and Paris to Paris) demanding money, he would write “Ca Noble” and “Ca Noblesse” next to those who were highborn enough to keep their cash. It was shortened to “snob” and… well, you get the rest.

And knowledge is half the battle! xoxo faran.
