“Lovely Faran,
Here you go!
Hello from HongKong!
And Graffiti from Taiwan!
Karen L.”
Very cool. Except I’m a little worried to see another bunny rabbit. They really are taking over the world…

Back in April, we discussed the re-emergence of the shrunken top hat. Featured on the runways of Marc Jacobs and in the accessories section of Pixie Market, many of you felt they were cool, but a difficult trend to rock.
To our surprise, Topshop decided to give the trend a try, this time in funky holiday sequins and pearls. It comes on a handy clip, and could be the finishing touch to your holiday outfit.
Oh, and its $18. Way cheaper then Pixie Market’s, and obviously Marc’s.

First he conquered reality TV.
Then the aisles of Payless and the beauty sections of Victoria’s Secret.
Now? Your coffee break.
The Christian Siriano-designed Starbucks card is officially available, starting this week.
It’s good news for those who like to charge their orange mocha frappuccinos on a festive silver palm-sized card featuring the signature of the pint-sized designer.
But it’s bad news for those who are more likely to loose said palm-sized card in their Christian Siriano bags than use them at Starbucks.
Which means that the next step in his quest for world domination is designing a wallet that holds his mini Starbucks gift card…

How much would you pay to see your favorite band perform?
That’s the question I was left pondering while in Miami for the Diesel:U:Music show.
As the Diesel crew explained to me, every time they throw a party, tickets inevitably end up on Craigslist.
Which is fine, except that tickets are free (provided you can swing by a Diesel store before they’re all gone).
So people are spending up to $500 to see musicians like MIA, Lykke Li, and Jemina Pearl perform when they don’t have to.
It got me thinking about how much I would realistically spend to see a band. My max is probably around $50 (unless John and George came back from the dead and reunited the Beatles). What’s yours? xxRebecca

Model Daul Kim has died in Paris, at age 20.
Daul was one of NYLON TV’s first model citizens, and appeared in our pages many times.
She was also one of the only models we can remember that ate everything and anything backstage at shows, and even before we met her and realized she was nice and funny, we thought that made her cool.
New York reports that Daul’s death was a suicide.
If you have friends who talk about suicide, learn how to get them help at Save.org
You’re not alone.

Every publication has their obsessions, and we get that.
New York Magazine has a Gossip Girl fetish.
Vogue seems preoccupied with pailettes, Liz Goldywn, and diets, in no particular order.
And we can’t get enough of our neon.
But the Styles section at the New York Times might be taking the cake on the “Again?” factor, with a constant, and peculiar, barrage of stories about gender in fashion.
Weird, right?
But on November 6, Sunday Styles published a feature called “Can a boy wear a skirt to school?”
Now, 13 days later, they’ve got another feature, “It’s All a Blur to Them,” about young men and women going for the androgynous look.
(Two weeks ago on the New York Times website, a parenting columnist asked “Can a Boy Wear a Tutu for Halloween?” Comments ranged from supportive and nonchalant to totally panicked; the story was linked on the Styles section website).
So what’s going on?
Maybe someone in the newsroom is watching Mad Men and wondering why all their daughters / co-workers / dates can’t still look like that.
Or maybe they just wanted an excuse to feature Alexander Wang’s tough-girl spring collection a little bit early… which is more than understandable.

CNN has a step-by-step tutorial for fixing your Facebook page into something more manageable.
Among their tips:
How to reduce your newsfeed, cut out your annoying friend’s updates without nixing them from your network, and how to hide your own “actions” from others.
What they don’t include:
A gentle reminder to creepy old men that Facebooking young women, even if you’ve met them once or twice, is gross and makes you look desperate.
Just putting it out there…

Attention, High Rollers:
Right now on the Outnet, there’s a large stash of Christian Lacroix dresses.
They’re on sale for 70% off, and while they’re still damn expensive ($400 and up… way up), it could still be a good deal for die-hard fashion fans.
Here’s why:
Last season, Lacroix announced he’d run out of funding.
Though rumors and reports say he’s coming into new investors soon, it hasn’t happened quite yet.
That means there’s a chance Lacroix won’t be back on the runways…
And it could turn your I-can’t-believe-I-spent-that-much purchase into a valuable collector’s item.
But shopping, like Vegas, should never be done out of desperation, and so to those with starry couture eyes on the prize we say:
Charge it at your own risk!

“Hey Faran!
I live in Venezuela, but spent the summer in Argentina, where I found this family of cats.
I love the colors and the style each cat has, plus I call my best friend “Cat,” so I had to take this picture!
Hope you like!
-Corina”
Thanks! I like the pink one!
